Founding Engineer
AI writes 100% of our code. You are the engineer in the loop: you architect the system, direct the agents that build it, then verify and own every line. The machine renders; you vouch for it. One codebase end to end — Rust across UI, API, data, infrastructure, and configuration — for web, mobile, and desktop.
Our industry moves fast, and what we need from you will change with it — sometimes quickly. That's not the fine print; it's the reason the work stays interesting. We want people who treat change as fuel: they learn fast, stay curious, and stay ahead of the curve instead of chasing it.
- Own the architecture: Rust end-to-end — Dioxus for the UI, axum for the API, Toasty for the data, Tauri for desktop and mobile. You set the boundaries, the data contracts, and the review gates before an agent runs.
- Orchestrate the AI: frame the problem, supply the context, split initiatives into agent-ready tasks, and run them in parallel. Your output is judgment — what to delegate, what to hand-write, what to reject — not keystrokes.
- Verify everything: read every diff the model produces, run the tests, find the edge case it skipped, and debug the failure it cannot see. Nothing ships that you cannot defend line by line.
- Own the full surface: frontend, backend, data, servers, configuration, and infrastructure — web, mobile, and desktop from one Rust codebase. Multilingual by default.
- You are the first pair of human eyes; the founders and real clients review behind you, not an automated gate. Accountability does not compress — you are the person who can be blamed.
- 3+ years building production systems. Real domain knowledge AI cannot substitute. AI is your force multiplier, not your alibi.
What we look for, beyond skills
- You are a Manager of One. You set your own direction, organize your work, and ship without being told.
- You ship. Day one, week one: real code, real features, real users. No months-long onboarding.
- You build multilingual-first. Every interface you design works in Arabic and English from the start.
- You use AI tools, aggressively. If you resent them or haven't tried them, we are not the right team.
- Your degree is not the point. We don't require a university degree or any certificate: if you have them, they're a bonus; if you don't, your work is what we judge.
- We hire talent, not paper. AI has let hard-working people learn on the internet and ship real work, at 20 or 40. We want people who believe in their talent, not their credentials.
- You write and speak English. Our code, docs, and async communication are in English.
- You want to build for the Arabic world. The team reflects the users we serve.
- You are comfortable on camera. We are a media company: we film our work and our office. You do not have to make content, but you have to be comfortable being in it. If that bothers you, this is not the place.
- You are willing to teach. We run community workshops, courses, and knowledge-sharing programs. Every team member contributes, whether it's AI literacy, web development, or product design.
The truth about working with us
- We pay in USD, on time, always. That is the commitment we keep.
- We are small: 3 people and the two founders. No politics, no alignment meetings, no bureaucracy. Just build.
- We work calm, focused hours. 40-hour weeks, no heroics, weekends are yours. Speed comes from focus, not grinding.
- We are in Syria and the UAE. Power cuts happen. Internet drops. Sanctions and currency shifts are quarterly realities.
- We tell you the truth during hiring. Our retention depends on it.
- We would rather run understaffed for 3 months than hire the wrong person.
